Abstract
This review highlights recent progress in the direct synthesis of α,β-epoxy ketones via oxidative coupling of alkenes and aldehydes, with a particular focus on mechanistic features of the reactions. For clarity, the review is organized into two sections: metal-catalyzed and metal-free epoxyacylations, covering literature up to the end of May 2025.
